What We believe
We are “confessional Lutheran,” meaning we hold to the doctrines laid out in the Book of Concord by the Lutheran reformers Martin Luther and Philip Melanchthon. These articles of faith are in agreement with, and completely subordinate to the Holy Scriptures (Bible). See Luther’s Small Catechism for a basic handbook of our Lutheran teachings.
- We believe in one God who has revealed Himself in three persons: Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit.
- We believe that man is sinful by nature and that sin is a violation of God's Will and Law in thought, word, and deed.
- We believe that Jesus Christ, who died to atone for our sins and rose again to life, is our Lord and Saviour, and that through faith in Him, we receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life.
- We believe that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God and is His message to all people for all time.
