Pastor’s Message Welcome to Redeemer! It is so nice to have you visit our website. Look around! Take in some of our services recorded in weeks past, and you are more than welcome to watch our weekly livestream of the Divine Services here at Redeemer, Sunday mornings at 10:30am. Of course, we’d love you to come in person too! Throughout the fall we are holding a one-room Sunday School program at 9:30 am, with all age groups—younger folks and older folks—all together in one class, going through the Life of Christ. We meet in the professional activity centre where there’s lots of space to make sure everyone is comfortable being together. On March 21st the Provincial masking mandate will be lifted and Redeemer Lutheran Church will support the change. On Wednesday, 23 March and all the services thereafter, wearing a mask inside the church building will not be required. It will be do good to see your smiles again! As we move forward, please also respect one another’s personal space for the near future. It has been 2 years of living with these mandates; let’s go gently as we move ahead to a new normal. Once the mask mandate is lifted, Pastor, Vicar, and the Elder assisting with Communion will each wear their masks during the distribution for the three (3) subsequent Sundays to help ease the transition for everyone. Providing all goes well with this reopening in Ontario, on Sunday the 8th of May, we will return to communing at the railing in the chancel. This change will be announced a couple of Sundays ahead of time. The number of people at the rail will allow for ample spacing between individuals, couples, and families (we will try to keep it to about 6-8 people per table). These are our plans for moving ahead to restore Divine Services. Thank you for your patience, and thank you for your help during these past two years! God bless you all! COVID has certainly caused us lots of worries and raised a lot of fears this past year and a half, yet through it all, our Triune God has always been with us! The Father of all grace and mercy is constantly watching over us, his only-begotten Son remains faithfully covering us in his forgiveness, life, and salvation, and the Holy Spirit is always vigilant at delivering these precious gifts to us here in the Divine Services of God’s House! This truly is a place of comfort and peace in the midst of life’s storm! Come and receive the goodness of our God and Lord! In Christ’s service, Pastor Joel Kuhl |

Supporting Redeemer
Dear Fellow Redeemed, Our Lord Jesus Christ supplies us with our living breath now and into eternity. In His Church we receive the gifts of life: the washing of Holy Baptism, the precious Words of Absolution that envelop and enliven us when sins pull us down, and of course, the great blessing of Christ’s own body and blood in Holy Communion. We are washed, renewed, fed, and uplifted by our Lord Jesus... so much blessing we want and desire to respond with love and appreciation to the One who has given our very being to us. This is why we give offerings. As Christians, we are not required to tithe as in the Old Testament days. We are free in Christ to give as we are able. For those who cannot give as much are under no compulsion to give, for our Lord Jesus only ever wants to be the One who gives life and grace to us! And for those who have been blessed by much, they can in turn bless others from their storehouses. Your gifts to the Lord’s kingdom work is greatly appreciated. They keep the doors open, the House of the Lord in good order, the services running smoothly, and give us all a place to meet and support one another in any need. During this time of Coronavirus COVID-19 crisis, the bills of the church still arrive, and if you are able to continue giving your gifts, they will go a long way to keeping everything running in order. In Christ’s service, Rev Joel V Kuhl, Pastor |
