May 13, 2010 – Redeemer’s 75th anniversary. A 75th Anniversary task force was set up to prepare a full year of events and celebration. This included 12 special guest pastors to preach each month at Redeemer.
August 2010 – July 2011 – Redeemer does not get a vicar and the vicarage house is rented out.
2011 – we reverted to a single late service on Sunday mornings due to diminishing church attendance.
2011 - we installed handicap door openers on Severn Street entrance. ($3,333.00) We built a ramp to accommodate wheelchairs. A new steel roof and brick repointing on part of the church was completed at a cost of $13,729.00.
2011 - we supports Nicaragua Mission with increasing fervour each subsequent year. A Team was sent to facilitate an annual VBS program in January.
August 2011 – Vicar Derek Pillay is installed as vicar of Redeemer until July 2012.
August 2012 – Vicar Andrew Preus is installed as vicar and his family moves into vicarage house until July 2013.
2013 - VBS all time low of average of 25 students. VBS 2013 theme: “Jesus, My Rock, My Fortress, My Salvation”.
2013 - The Partner to Partner mission with Dartmouth Nova Scotia was terminated.
August 2013 – Basil Christi was installed as Vicar of Redeemer until July 2014.
Jan 2014 – Lutheran-Church Canada had to restructure due to major financial troubles in The ABC District.
May 2014 - We applied for a vicar. Due to a shortage of candidates we did not receive a vicar for 2014-2015. Our vicarage house was rented out.
2014 - Table Time Tuesday T3 began as an Evangelism project. The evening included a meal and a speaker.
2014 - Redeemer launched a new website - www.redeemer-church.ca, with web hosting by 1 & 1 Internet Inc., maintained and updated by Werner & Hildegard Lindschinger.
June 2014 - Rev. Robert Krestick celebrated the 40th anniversary of his ordination.
August 2014 – Pastor Krestick retired as pastor of Redeemer. Eight vicars benefited from his spiritual supervision.
September 2014 – The 20th anniversary as Music Director for Heidi Gallas was marked by the congregation.
September 2014 - a supervised nursery was established during the Divine Service times in response to a “Needs Assessment” survey.
Sep 1 2014 – Rev. Robert Morley became our vacancy pastor.
April 26 2015 – Rev. Joel Vincent Kuhl received a call in Timmins to become pastor at Redeemer Lutheran Church Waterloo.
May 2015 - We recognized Pastor Emeritus Rev. Gerald Scholz with a plaque for the 60th Anniversary of his ordination in the Holy Ministry.
November 2015 - we invited Rev. Zabel to Redeemer to install Rev. Robert Krestick as our second Pastor Emeritus.
April 2016 – Kevin Lee is hired as Music Director. He is enrolled at Wilfred Laurier University in the Music Program.
2017 - Repointing of the bricks on both the church and the vicarage house was approved by the Voters with work beginning in the Spring of 2017. The Voters approved the awarding of a contract to Brick & Company of almost $300,000 to have the work done.
July 2017 – This year is the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation. Our VBS theme was “The Mighty Fortress”.
August 2018 – Vicar Vishal Paul was installed as vicar of Redeemer, and his wife and two sons moved into the vicarage.
2018 – Redeemer’s Abuse Prevention Policy was rewritten, approved and adopted.
2018 - The chancel carpet was removed and replaced with new tile flooring installed by Voll Flooring of Elmira. Also new flooring for the Severn Street entrance.
2018 - major project: the repair of the stained-glass windows; the window in the choir loft was the most pressing as the glass was falling apart due to excessive heat buildup, as the window had been boxed for insulation from the organ (which was removed).
2018 - The Church Library which was sadly unused, was cleaned out and the remaining books and tapes were relocated to the Sunday School area. This space was converted into the Vicar’s new office. New flooring was installed.
July 2019 – Vicar Paul and family move out of vicarage house and return to St. Catharines to resume Vishal Paul’s studies.
August 2019 – Marcus Peschel was installed as Vicar of Redeemer and moved into the vicarage house. It was deemed that the new single vicar required house mates, and two Lutheran men were procured to rent out two bedrooms in the vicarage home.
August 2019 – Long-time administrative assistant Carol Weiberg retired after 31.5 years of service. A dinner was hosted by the Elders in her honour to commemorate her service. She served three full-time pastors, and 17 vicars.
September 2019 – Courtney Marshall was hired as administration assistant. The phones, computer and photocopier are updated and Wifi installed throughout the church. She also designed a new website under redeemer-church.ca domain.
Nov. 2019 – Grace Lutheran Church celebrated its 75th Anniversary, remembering its’ start from Redeemer congregation.

- December - Our theme was ‘God with Us’. The Sunday School Christmas Presentation was written and directed by Carol Norman, “Through the Eyes of Angels: The Nativity Story.” 35 children and youth participated in it, as well as 10 adults.
